Political posters exhibition
Ypenburg (The Hague), the Netherlands
In collaboration with Daniel van der Velden
and Maureen Mooren

Election posters from all political parties are hanging across the entire country of the Netherlands. The election poster is an important medium to convince citizens of their political beliefs. Besides that, the election poster also visualizes politics in its strive to develop marketing strategies and image building.

For a short time, Ypenburg will be the center of the election poster. Graphic designers Maureen Mooren and Daniël van der Velden in collaboration with Abdul Basit Khan have visualized todays politics in 10 posters. 7X11 will not only be ‘wallpapered’ with their poster designs, but will also be the center of distribution. Visitors of 7X11 can take the poster home for free, if they would like.

During the opening, Alex de Vries (Head of the school of Medium and Design, Willem de Kooning Akademie, Hogeschool Rotterdam ) will debate with Hans van Leeuwen (artist / politician / candidate for political party SP in The Hague’s ‘Tweede Kamer’) and Maureen Mooren and Daniël van der Velden.
